What will you do for £300,000 a week? Ask Rooney

Talking football, especially on this platform, is not something that occur often but for £300,000 a week? Ah! Today, we are talking football.

Desperate Manchester United is not new to grazing headlines; from record losing streaks to other clubs breaking their winnings records after two, three decades and now, the premier league struggling club have paid over the odds to keep Rooney.

The amount? £300,000 a week for the next 5 years.

Wayne Rooney whose existing £250,000-a-week deal ran into its final 18 months, had twice walked away from negotiating tables due to disagreement over how much should be his new earnings.

The fallout of 'no agreement', United feared, is losing Rooney for nothing at the end of next season.

IS ROONEY WORTH £300,000 A WEEK?

Under fire David Moyes, whose first season at the club is the institution's worst has looked to build a new team around the Liverpudlian. Several senior team members had signaled their intentions to leave at the end of the season and Moyes is already building a new team. Among his new plan is Juan Mata who joined in January.

However, The new development is a path away from former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, who was ready to sell Rooney.

Ferguson confirmed in his autobiography last year that the former Everton striker asked to leave the club for the second time in his career last season, although he stopped short of submitting a formal transfer request.

The Scot warned in his book that Rooney had already "lost some of his old thrust" that made him such a precocious teenager.

Rooney "needs to be careful" about his condition as he can be "swallowed up by a lack of fitness" ~Sir Alex Ferguson.

Anyway, a contract worth £70m in wages alone over five years is on for grab and its all Wayne Rooney's for the taking.
