They are practically saying nothing.
If something like this were to happen over there in the middle east, you'll get some bigoted, naive and foolish fellows going on the streets (in places like Kano or Kaduna for example) to protest on behalf of "their muslim brothers in the Arab World". Some of these Nigerians will even kill and maim innocent people all in the name of "defending their religion" and "brothers".
God help you if you criticize the Arabs on anything, these foolish 'defenders' will come at you with guns blazing.
Not trying to sound sarcastic, why .didn't the Arab world effectively come to the aid of "their muslim brothers in Nigeria" earlier before now?
Abi dem no care ni?
I believe something is definitely wrong with anyone who want to appear to love people in the Middle East more than his or her own country men.
That's on one side jare. On the other, we clearly know those who are passionately at the forefront of the #Bring Back Our Girls movement. It is clearly people from the south of Nigeria. South west takes the lead in the call.
Its very nice to see Igbos, Efiks, Yoruba Urohbos, Igbiras, Ijaws, Ilajes and many more calling out publicly "#Bring Back Our Girls". Its nice to see them referring to the Chibok girls as "our girls", "our daughters". Its beautiful to see Christians praying that the girls come back safely. Its nice to see Muslims do same.
Such will make you want to think: "So, Nigerians love Nigerians after all!".
To think some people will now refer to these same passionate people (or their families) who are calling for the release of the girls as 'Kafirs' (especially when religious crisis occurs) make me wonder.
To think some twisted fellows in the north of Nigeria will destroy lives and properties of these passionate people willy nilly all in the name of defending a religion or ethnicity, makes one wonder.
As per the Arab world angle, I'll say to the Muslims in the north of Nigeria: WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE, WE SURE KNOW THOSE WHO TRULY CARE ABOUT YOU!
Ooto oro oni k'ama so'un o!
